Myron S. Simmons, a proud native of Washington, D.C., is currently in his senior year at Cesar Chavez Public Charter School for Public Policy. Myron's dedication to various facets of school life is reflected in his active membership in the Chavez Media group, Debate Club, and Peer Group Connection (PGC). Through these organizations, he has harnessed his passion for media, critical thinking, and mentorship, contributing significantly to his peers' intellectual and social growth.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Myron showcased his athleticism and team spirit as a vital part of the Chavez Schools JV basketball team during his first two years of high school. Nyla Moore, a proud native of Washington, D.C., is currently a Junior at Cesar Chavez Public Charter School for Public Policy. Her outstanding leadership qualities have made her an invaluable contributor to the school's vibrant community.
Nyla is a well-rounded student, actively participating in various aspects of school life. She is a dedicated member of the Chavez Volleyball team, where she exemplifies teamwork and sportsmanship on the court. Nyla's commitment to excellence extends to her academic pursuits, as she is a member of the National Honor Society, showcasing her dedication to scholastic achievement.
In addition to her involvement in sports and academics, Nyla serves as a basketball statistician, demonstrating her attention to detail and willingness to contribute in various roles. Her compassion and commitment to her peers are further demonstrated through her participation in Peer Group Connection (PGC), where she provides support and guidance to fellow students facing challenges.
