Fellowship
At Cesar Chavez PCS, scholars learn to be civic leaders committed to creating a more just, free, and equal world. Through the Fellowship Program, scholars complete a 2.5-week unpaid internship with an organization addressing the public good, allowing scholars to apply their academic knowledge and skills towards real world issues.
Scholars complete their Fellowships at a variety of federal agencies, think tanks, and nonprofit organizations across the Washington, DC metro area. These host organizations not only provide Chavez scholars with a unique and meaningful opportunity to experience how public policy ideas turn into community action, but also help scholars develop the communication and professional skills required of effective public servants.
