Cesar Chavez participates in the My School DC common lottery and we only accept the My School DC application. Make sure to rank Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools as your top choice!

Lottery results were released April 2, 2021 for the 21-22 school year. You received an email, mailed letter or can log into your family account and click on the “View the lottery results” button. A Chavez staff member also called and emailed with information about completing the registration process.

The enrollment deadline for matched families is May 3, 2021. After that, your spot is no longer guaranteed.

If you missed the application deadline for the current school year, please complete the My School DC post-lottery application. Post-lottery applicants are added to the bottom of the waitlist below lottery applicants. An exception to this is if the applicant is the sibling of a current student, s/he will receive a preference and move up the waitlist.

Any child applying after the lottery deadline is added to the Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools wait list. You will be contacted by phone and by email when a space for your child becomes available. You may also call and check your child’s status. We check the wait list and send out acceptances daily.
