Track Eagles Soar Over Competition in DC PCSAA

Big congratulations to the boys and girls track team. This Friday they competed in the DC Public Charter School Athletic Association Championships at the Sports and Learning Complex. In the cold and rainy weather, the Eagles flew over the competition.

  • Sophomore Hevin Jones-Bellamy won both the Girls 100 and 200 Meter Championships. She also ran a personal best time in the 200 Meter Dash. 
  • Junior Madeline Short won the Girls Long Jump. She also placed 3rd in the Girls 400
  • Kinaya Blackstone won the Girls Shot Put. 
  • Isaiah Maxwell made the finals of the 100 Meter Dash. 
  • The relay team of Hevin Jones-Bellamy, Madeline Short, Kinaya Blackstone, and Daja Jackson won the Girls 4x200 Meter Championships. The same relay placed 3rd in the Girls 4x100 Meter Relay Championships. 
  • The relay team of Joshua Bryant, Isaiah Maxwell, Clayton Rivers, and Christopher Williams placed 2nd in the Boys 4x400 Meter Championships. 
Next up for the Eagles, DC State Championships at Galluadet University on May 25-26.
