School Leadership

Susan Flora is the principal of the Chavez Parkside Middle and High School. Formerly, Ms. Flora served as the Chief of Operations and Finance for Chavez, overseeing all financial affairs of the school, coordinating the schools accountability and reporting activities, and managing the school s overall operations. She was one of six school leaders in DC selected for the 2005 French Culture and Language Fellowship, sponsored by the Washington Post, the Education Office of the Embassy of France, and the American Association of Teachers of French.

Ms. Flora joined the Chavez School in January 1999 as a part time teaching assistant and consultant, while completing her MA in Public Policy at American University in Washington, DC. Prior to joining Chavez, Ms. Flora was a Teach for America corps member in Baton Rouge, LA, where she taught seventh grade American History at Istrouma Middle Magnet School. At IMMS, she served on the School Improvement Team, a site based team responsible for developing and implementing goals and strategies to address school level concerns.

Ms. Flora has served on Application Review Panels and led Program Development Review teams for the DC Public Charter School Board. In addition, she has presented on accountability issues at various charter school conferences, including the National Association of Charter School Authorizers; served as an independent research associate for an author writing a book on the SAT and interned at the Thomas B. Fordham Foundation. In addition to her MPP, Ms. Flora has a BA in history and a minor in Womens Studies from Johns Hopkins University.

Mark Sturdivant is Vice Principal of Student Affairs. Mr. Sturdivant has worked with youth in a variety of settings during the past eight years, serving as a special education instructional assistant in the Montgomery County Public School System, a crisis intervention specialist at The Pathways Program and a psychiatric rehabilitation program director at Community Counseling and Mentoring Services, Inc. Mr. Sturdivant has an extensive athletic history, having been captain of the University of Marylands football team while earning his BA there in family studies. He has since coached football and basketball.

Kenya Wilson is Vice Principal of Academic Affairs. Prior to joining Chavez, she held a position teaching math and designing lesson plans for nearly two years in the Baltimore City Public Schools. Ms. Wilson received a BA in mathematics from St. Marys College.

Kyle Cole serves as the Vice Principal of Instruction for the Parkside Campus. During his first two years at Chavez, he taught United States History and Public Policy and was the chair for the Department of History and Politics. Mr. Cole received a BA in Political Science from the University of Chicago and a MA in education administration and policy from Harvard University.

Staff & Faculty

Alisha Roberts is the Business Manager for the Parkside Campus, having started her tenure at Chavez as the Florida Ave. campus business manager. Ms. Roberts brought significant experience to Chavez, having worked at two parochial schools in the Archdiocese of Washington where she served as the secretary to the principal and as an office manager. Ms. Roberts has also coached students in basketball and track for over ten years and is the commissioner of the Catholic Youth Organizations track and field program of the Archdiocese of Washington. She believes her life calling is to serve the youth of our Metro area. Ms. Roberts studied architectural engineering at the University of Maryland

Brandi Shelton is the Clinical Director of Mental Health Services at the Parkside campus. Originally from South Carolina, Ms. Shelton relocated to Maryland after completing graduate school in 1999. She has worked in Mental Health services with atrisk minority youth for 7 years. Ms. Shelton has a BA in Social Work from Virginia State University and an MSW from the University of Michigan. She studied play therapy with young children and volunteered at a teen runaway shelter in Detroit, MI. As a clinical therapist with severely emotionally disturbed adolescents for five years, Ms. Shelton was a certified trainer for professionals in the area of Therapeutic Aggression Control Techniques and Life Space Crisis Intervention. She now leads a team of dedicated and committed social workers here at Cesar Chavez Parkside campus.

Peter Boccardi, LGSW is the middle school social worker at Cesar Chavez. Originally from Long Island, New York, Mr. Boccardi has been living in the DC Metro area for 5 years. Prior to his position at Chavez, Mr. Boccardi worked at The Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy Institute as a Social worker and Transitional Counselor. He also served at the Tucker Elementary School in Alexandria, VA as a Social Worker. Mr. Boccardi earned his Masters Degree in Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Bachelors in Fine Arts from the New York Institute of Technology.

Dina Mouldovanis a middle school social worker at the Parkside Campus.Prior to working at Chavez, Dina worked as a social worker at a school based day treatment program in the South Bronx, New York. Dina earned her her Masters in Social Work in New York City at Wurzweiler School of Social Work/Yeshiva University. While completing her MSW, Dina worked with adolescent males in a therapeutic corrections facility and with elementary school aged children in a public elementary school. Dina studied Art Therapy and Anthropology as an undergraduate at the University of Massachusetts. In the summer of 2003 Dina volunteered in Jerusalem, Israel assisting adults with developmental disabilities to gain vocational training.

Kenya Smith is the Director of College Counseling for the Chavez Parkside campus. She brings to Chavez numerous years of college counseling and advising experience. Ms. Smith was the College Counselor at Brebeuf Jesuit College Prep School in Indianapolis, Indiana Director of College Counseling at Edmund Burke College Preparatory School and the Assistant Director of Admissions at Kalamazoo College and Ohio Wesleyan. She also worked for the Mayors Turning Point Program developing curriculum for remedial summer programs. For the past four summers she has worked for the College Summit, a DC based organization whose mission is to increase the college enrollment rate of lowincome students by ensuring that every student who can make it in college makes it to college. Ms. Smith holds a BA in Psychology from Howard and a MA in Higher Education Administration from American University.

Megan Reamer is the Public Policy Director and Senior Thesis Teacher for the Parkside campus. She holds a BA in education and a MPP from Georgetown Universitys Public Policy Institute. Ms. Reamer has several years of experience working and volunteering in urban schools in Camden NJ and Chicago. She also brings her Hill experience working in the congressional offices of Representative Robert E. Andrews. Most recently, she worked in the Education Policy Center at the Urban Institute analyzing raw survey data regarding the BELL summer school program in New York City and Boston.

Kaitlin Herlihy is the Public Policy Coordinator for the Parkside Campus. Ms. Herlihy graduated Cum Laude with distinction in Government from Colby College in 2006. At Colby, she was captain of the Varsity Womens Soccer Team, an elected representative of the Student Government Association, and a youth mentor. Ms. Herlihy has spent three summers at the Exploration Summer Program as an instructor of constitutional law, civics, and international relations, as the director of athletics, and most recently as a member of the Deans Office. She interned at the 21st Century Schools Project at the Progressive Policy Institute where she was inspired by the charter school movement.

Gerard Jackson is the special education director at the Parkside Campus.

Sadiqa AlSalam is the Special Education Coordinator at the Parkside campus. She joined Chavez in the summer of 2006. Ms. AlSalams experiences within education include teaching and MDT planning within public, private, hospital and residential special education programs. She has a MA in Education with a specialty in Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities from George Washington University. She also has a BA in English from the College of the Holy Cross. Prior to heading her call to education, she worked with the Boston Globe and NewYork times as an Account Executive.

Jenifer Perrella is currently a science teacher and the debate coach at the Parkside Campus. Ms. Perrella is the daughter of two science teachers and has been teaching in the DC area since 1998. She has taught geosystems, physical science, computers, English, drama, life skills, and human geography. Additionally, she has coached debate, forensics, and soccer. Last year, Ms. Perrella presented at the National Symposium on Alternative Dispute Resolution in Education. She holds a BA in International Studies, an MS in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, and has received additional training to teach AP Human Geography. Most recently she was one of 20 teachers and college professors who attended a meeting at the National Science Foundation about expanding its GK-12 program to the international arena.

Kenneth Wright is a special education teacher for the Parkside Campus. He has a great passion to help children succeed in life. Kenneth has worked with youth in a variety of settings serving as the director of an outdoor adventure program for atrisk youth, the coordinator of the Youth Against Substance Abuse Program for Covenant House, and as a Special Education Teacher for The Childrens Guild. Kenneth holds a MA in Special Education from The George Washington University and a BA in Economics from University of Maryland Baltimore County.

Loretta Woodard is the Administrative Assistant for the Parkside Campus,she started her tenure at the Mass. Ave. Campus as the Breakfast/Lunch Coordinator in 2004. Having worked in a office environment for over 20 years; she believed she could serve Chavez better by working in the office.Before she joined Chavez she worked for a nonprofit national womens health organization working as an Office Mgr Admin. Asst/Membership/Publications Coordinator. She loves multitasking and enjoys helping others. Ms. Woodard studied Accounting at Prince Georges County Community College.

Nikia Carthens-Pollard is the Administrative Assistant for Principals at the Parkside campus.

Malcolm Battle is the high school assistant dean of students for the Parkside Campus.

Gonzolo Barrajas Campos is facilities manager for the Parkside Campus.

Marcus Allen is the Enrichment Programs Coordinator at Parkside Campus. Mr. Allen is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After spending four years working for Semester at Sea, Marcus relocated to the District of Columbia with intent to work with urban youth. Before Chavez, Mr. Allen has served District youth at The SEED School of Washington, DC and Good Shepherd’s Teen Learning Center. Marcus knows that his work with youth is his intended life calling. Mr. Allen studied marketing at Robert Morris College.

Andrea Greenwell Grillot is the Reading Specialist at the Parkside Campus. She graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University Chicago with a BA in English and a minor in Peace Studies. She was an Ignatian Honors Program Scholar and was Loyola’s Lincoln Medallion recipient in 2000. Ms. GG ran after school tutoring programs in San Francisco with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and worked at a child welfare agency in Chicago prior to becoming a teacher. She received her teaching credential through a program run by Northwestern University and the Inner City Teaching Corps. She then earned her Masters degree with a Reading Specialization from National University. Ms. GG is in her fifth year teaching and has taught many subjects. She loves teaching reading here at Chavez.

Joy Henry is a Literacy Coach and Science teacher at Parkside. Ms. Henry has taught and tutored students on the elementary and secondary levels for over eight years. She earned a BS in Biology from Morgan State University and Secondary Education from Catholic University

Cecilia D’Antonio teaches 7th grade Life Sciences at Chavez. She has worked in the DC Public School System in the capacity of lead tutor in the DC Reads program. She earned a BA in Elementary Education and a minor in Biology from American University and studied Marine Biology in Brisbane Australia in 2005. She is originally from West Chester Pennsylvania.

Mehran Divanbaigyzand His first teaching experience was in Montgomery County helping AFDC recipients to fulfill their requirements for a high school diploma. Next, he taught three years at Ballou Mathematics Science Technology Academy where he became part of an effort for the first conversion of a public school academy to a charter school. For the next two years he taught mathematics at Washington Mathematics Science Technology Pubic Charter High School. He starts his seventh year at Cesar Chavez Public Charter High School for Public Policy as the math mentor teacher. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and has done graduate work in the same subject and Economics. He also holds the title of Expert in chess by United Sates Chess Federation. His personal areas of interest are philosophy and Islam.

Simon Rodberg is the Mentor Teacher for Parksides English Department. Previously, he taught social studies and writing at the Community Day Charter School, in Lawrence, MA he also taught writing at The Childrens Storefront, an elementary school in New York City. Mr. Rodberg is also an accomplished journalist, having served as a writing fellow at The American Prospect and published articles in a number of other newspapers and magazines. He received a BA in American studies from Yale University and a MA in Irish literature and drama from the University College Dublin in Ireland

Aaron Pintzuk is an English Teacher at Chavezs Parkside Campus. He first came to the school as a substitute teacher and fulltime teaching aide. In addition, he worked for the Shaw Eco Village as the Educational Coordinator for the Chain Reaction Youth Bike Shop. Mr. Pintzuk has also worked as an English instructor in Southern Thailand. He holds a BA in English from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Kristin Rogers received a bachelors in International Affairs from Georgia Tech. Received a masters in Middle/High School Social Studies Education from Georgia State University. This is her second year of teaching. She is Coaching Middle School Girls Basketball this year.

Stella Anamelechi teaches History and Politics at the Parkside Campus. At Tufts University, she received a BA in Political Science/History and a Masters in Arts and Teaching. Her first teaching experience was at Powderhouse Elementary School where she taught Civics to 7th graders for an hour every Monday. This experience enabled me to recognize her passion for this profession and set her on a path of understanding education as liberation.

Tiffany Arnold is the Class of 2013 Grade Level Leader as well as a middle school history teacher. Prior to Chavez, Ms. Arnold taught US History, World Civilizations, and Dance in two DC Charter schools. She also has experience teaching English and Algebra I and II. Ms. Arnold earned a BA in History from Hampton University in Hampton, VA.

Sara Martin In addition to being a Mentor Teacher, Sara teaches health and physical education at Chavez. Before coming to Chavez, Ms. Martin taught health for two years at the University of Florida while earning her masters degree. She also worked at the Universitys Student Health Care Center as the Eating Disorders Outreach and Prevention Coordinator and on the Healthy Gators 2010 Campaign. She earned a BS in Community Health Education and a MS in School Health Education, both from the University of Florida

Tia Clemmons is the sixth grade Health and Physical Education teacher for the Parkside Campus. She has an extensive history working with youth especially in an athletic capacity. Ms. Clemmons managed the fitness department at a Washington Sports Club and worked as a track coach both for the DC Redwings Youth Organization and for the Howard University Track & Field and Cross Country Teams. Ms. Clemmons currently coaches sprinters & jumpers at Eleanor Roosevelt HS (a nationally ranked team) for the Girls Track and Field Team. Previously, she worked as a teachers assistant at DCs Emory Elementary School. Clemmons earned a BS in Exercise Physiology from Howard University.

Tina Jones is a middle school Health Physical Education teacher. For four years she taught at Ronald H. Brown Middle School located in Northeast D.C. She also served on the LSRT Local School Restructuring Team, and the Administrative Team, as well as the Girls Basketball, Volleyball, and Softball Coach. Ms. Jones was also the school coordinator for the Best Friends Foundation and was elected Outstanding Teacher of the Year for Ward 7. She has a BS in Health, Physical Education Safety, Athletic Training.

Jennifer King is an English as a Second Language teacher and coordinator at the Parkside Campus. She has taught English as a Second Language in California, Mexico, and Korea. Ms. King holds a BA in education from Niagara University and a MA in international education from Framingham State College. In addition to languages, she holds a certificate in ECE from UCSC. She is proficient in French and Spanish.

Carlton Ashton is a Spanish teacher at the Parkside Campus. Prior to Chavez, Mr. Ashton worked with middle and high school students at the SEED Public Charter School in SE, where he taught upper school Spanish. In 2003, he graduated from St. Bonaventure University with a degree in Journalism and Spanish. Mr. Ashton spent a year at the Institute for International Studies in Seville, Spain with the College Consortium for International Studies. He grew up here in DC and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School.

Nicole Hesson teaches 7th Grade Life Sciences at Parkside. Originally from Philadelphia, she holds a BS in Biology (with a minor in Spanish) from Davidson College in North Carolina. Ms. Hesson taught for three years in a Baltimore City public high school. She has taught Biology, Health, and Environmental Science. While teaching in Baltimore, she earned her MAT in Secondary Science from Johns Hopkins University.

Joayne Larson teaches Spanish at the Parkside Campus. She holds a BA in International Relations from Tufts University, which included a semester of fieldwork in Ecuador. After two years in DC, she recently completed a masters in International Training and Education. Originally from North Dakota, she fell in love with languages and international travel at an early age. Prior to joining the Chavez community she taught in Russia and Chile and coordinated afterschool mentoring and volunteer programs in Minneapolis, Minnesota and DC.

Louisa Neill teaches middle school visual arts at Chavez. This being her first year with Chavez, she most recently comes from Las Cruces, New Mexico where she taught high school ceramics and drawing as well as courses within the local art museum. Current issues in her work include the United States and Mexican border and cultural identity in the United States. Louisa holds a BFA from Alfred University.

Michael Pinnix is an art teacher for the Parkside Campus.

Nkemjika N. Ofodile is an Art Teacher at the Parkside Campus. She has been teaching since October of 2002, and has taught everything from special education to physical education, and from high school seniors all the way down to kindergarten. She has been working with young people in a teaching capacity since 1994, and although graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Communications in 2002, realizes that her first love will always be teaching. She has coached basketball, track and cheerleading squads, and hopes to do the same at Chavez. Her future goals are to pursue an MA in education administration and to eventually carry on her knowledge to assist with climbing over education barriers in small villages in Nigeria.

Amaris Sangster is one of the 7th grade academic support teachers. She comes from the Midwest having received 2 bachelors from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in social work and German education. After receiving her bachelor’s degrees, she attended the graduate school of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she received her Masters in Social Work. After receiving her MSW, she joined Teach for America and taught Special Education in Philadelphia for 2 years and earned her Special Education certification through Chestnut Hill College. After Teach for America, she decided to pursue a career in Social work and was a social worker for a year, before she missed teaching and wanted to come back to the teaching field.

Paul Root teaches 8th grade English at the Parkside campus. Mr. Root has always enjoyed working with young people. Prior to coming to Chavez, he taught 7th and 8th grade English at Sousa Middle School as a corps member with Teach for America, and served as a program director at YMCA Camp Kern in Oregonia, Ohio. In addition to these professional activities, he ran a volunteer program in Atlanta that taught elementary school students non-violent conflict resolution skills. Mr. Root is very proud to have recently hiked the entire Appalachian Trail, a footpath that runs over 2,000 miles through 14 states.

Khaalida Smalls is the high school social worker for the Parkside Campus. Originally from New York, Ms. Smalls has been living in the DC Metropolitan area for the last ten years. Having served adolescents for twelve years, she has extensive experience in treating severe emotional disturbance. Her therapeutic tool of choice is group therapy as she has seen the “Power of the Collective” in healing youth. Ms. Smalls has a love for school social work and as a result she recently became a Nationally Certified School Social Work Specialist (C-SSWS). Khaalida holds a BA in sociology from Virginia State University as well as an MSW from Howard University.

Renee Carthens is a lunch coordinator assistant for the Parkside Campus.

Padraic Foran teaches World History to the class of 2011. Additionally he is the 9th Grade Team Leader and Assistant Coach for the Women’s Varsity Soccer Team. He earned a BA in History with a concentration in America History from Carleton College where he was the captain of the Men’s Swimming and Diving Team. Prior to teaching a Chavez he spent three summers working as the Waterfront Director at the Fresh Air Fund’s Camp Mariah. Outside of school he enjoys rock climbing, hiking, canoeing and his fixed-gear bike. He calls the coast of Maine home.

Ongisa Ichile-McKenzie is the Librarian at Parkside Campus. She studied communication at Howard University and received a B.A. After several media-related internships, she realized that education was the best career path. As a member of the Teach for America Program, she taught elementary and middle school students in Atlanta Public Schools. Next, Mrs. Ichile-McKenzie became a Senior Library Assistant in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public Library system. There, she planned programs and maintained collections for the children’s department. Last year, she returned to Washington, DC where she worked at a non-profit organization for troubled youth. Her love of books and education led her to Cesar Chavez.

Laura Morales is the office manager for the Parkside campus. She previously held administrative positions at Georgetown University, interned at a DC international non-profit organization, and has had experience tutoring in DC schools. Originally from Colorado, she came to work at Chavez because of her experience as a tutor with the Parkside ESL program a few years ago. Ms. Morales holds a B.S. Degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.

Elizabeth Snow is the Sixth Grade Social Worker at the Parkside Campus. Elizabeth earned her Masters Degree in Social Work from The National Catholic School of Social Services at The Catholic University of America. While completing her MSW, Elizabeth was a Clinical Intern at Rock Creek Academy, a school that serves learning disabled and emotionally disturbed students.

Morgan Corr teaches 9th grade World History and Foundations of Public Policy. He is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from The George Washington University with a Bachelor or Arts in Political Science in 2007. At GW he served as the Executive Vice President of the Student Government and was involved in several other social and political associations. He is beginning his 5th year in Washington, where he has worked with a variety of education and policy-centered organizations including DC VOICE, People for the American Way Foundation, Young People For, The Front Line Leaders Academy, Congressman Barney Frank and Senator Edward Kennedy.

Murdee Mabery is the Administrative Assistant to the Management Team she has worked in an office environment for the past 20 years. Her background is in Conference Planning, Catering Sales and most recently as an Executive Assistant for the National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education. Believing that children are our future, she loves working here at Chavez Parkside hoping to make a difference. Ms. Mabery has studied at LLCC in Illinois.

Donna Steele was born in West Point, Mississippi. Received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena, Mississippi. Received a Masters of Science in Counseling and Human Development-Agency from Troy State University in Montgomery, Alabama. Working on a Masters degree in education from the University of Phoenix in Arizona (Online). Hobbies: reading, writing, sewing, cooking and listening to books on tape.

Billy Smith teaches sixth-grade Reading and Writing at Chavez. Billy has had a number of rich experiences in education, including teaching English in Estonia, tutoring autistic students in Thailand, and exploring New England history with 7th-graders in the Breakthrough Collaborative. When he was 15, Billy also had a brief but largely unsuccessful stint at a doughnut shop. Billy studied American Studies and English at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received a master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Tania Peters is a History Teacher at Chavez Parkside. She has a wealth of experience in a variety of educational settings and is deeply committed to addressing the needs of youth in underserved areas and ensuring that children have equal access to education. In her most recent position, Ms. Peters was Student Support Coordinator at The Washington Latin School where she coordinated the special education program and support for all students. Ms. Peters joined the teaching profession as a corps member with Teach For America and has taught students with special needs in rural Louisiana and charter schools in Washington, DC. She has trained and mentored new teachers for programs such as Summerbridge New Orleans, DC Teaching Fellows and Teach For America. She has also managed programs in an after school setting. Ms. Peters graduated from Wellesley College with a B.A. in Political Science and Economics Minor and is currently the secretary of her graduating class.

Katherine Saul is an English teacher for the class of 2013. In her first career, she worked with adults with developmental disabilities and was a Special Olympics ski coach in Wyoming. Ms. Saul received her Masters in Teaching from the University of Virginia and previously taught in Virginia Beach and in rural Virginia. Ms. Saul earned her BA in English from William and Mary.

Phil Paoletta is a 7th grade technology teacher. He received his BA in Philosophy from New York University. While in New York, he spent considerable time doing freelance web and graphic design. He studied abroad in Ghana and shorty after, started the Aiding Schools in Africa Project. He is a world music and Cleveland sports lover, among other things.

Maggie Ford is an English teacher for the Class of 2013. She graduated from Boston College with a double major in English and Sociology. While at Boston College, Ms. Ford specialized her degree by researching the effects of symbolic junk food advertising on the rising rate of childhood obesity. She is currently working towards a Masters of Arts in Teaching Secondary English at American University in Washington D.C. She is excited to be a part of the hard-working and dedicated staff at Cesar Chavez-Parkside Campus!

Jennifer Fox is a member of the Academic Support team. She teaches 7th grade. Fox is a graduate of Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pa., where she majored in journalism and political science and minored in French. She is currently working on her Masters in Special Education from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.

Mellony Conyers is an Academic Support Teacher for the Parkside Campus. She attended both Florida A&M University and Coastal Carolina University, where she received a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Psychology. Ms. Conyers received her certification in Special Education from The Citadel. Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Ms. Conyers is a passionate advocate for the education and rights of our children. Owner of several adolescent group homes throughout the Carolinas, Ms. Conyers has made caring for our youth the focal point of her career. Not only does Ms. Conyers enjoy teaching our scholars here at the Parkside campus, she is also a licensed counselor, specializing in individual & family therapy and substance abuse counseling.

Nancy Cooper teaches Global Studies to the 6th grade at Chavez Parkside. Prior to coming to Parkside this year she worked in the public school system in Charlottesville, Virginia. She has a BA in History from Lee University where minored in Political Science and taught courses in cross-cultural study. Most recently she has completed a M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Virginia’s Curry School of Education.

Barrie Hamilton teaches Chemistry and Physical Science at Chavez. This is her first year teaching at Chavez. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Microbiology and a minor in Chemistry from SMSU (Southwest Missouri State University) in Springfield, MO. She obtained her master’s in Curriculum & Instruction as a former Kansas City Teaching Fellow in the Fall of 2005 from UMKC (University of Missouri-Kansas City). Barrie coaches both middle and high school volleyball teams. Her philosophy of education is that each scholar should receive a high quality education by providing essential tools and safety in an environment that is conducive to learning.
