GET INVOLVED

We need your help!

As a DC public school, Chavez receives the majority of its funding from the District of Columbia. Yet, the Chávez campuses struggle with the limitations of District funds and operational costs. We are in constant need of financial and in-kind donations from foundations, corporations, and individuals. Chavez is a 501©(3) nonprofit, so your contribution may be tax deductible. We hope that you will do what you can to help our students achieve their high academic and personal goals.

Some ways you might help include:

  • Donating to our scholarship fund for graduating Chavez seniors.
  • Donating books for our library or even organizing a book drive.
  • Volunteering to tutor or teach an after-school class.
  • Donating bookstore gift cards to reward our hardworking students.
  • Supporting our athletic program: provide a financial gift to buy uniforms and equipment, or volunteer to coach a sport.
  • Encouraging your organization to sponsor a three-week public policy fellowship for one of our students.
